When using our website we collect and process information that you provide by filling in the Contact Form and the Membership Application Form.
Storing Your Personal Data
Data that is provided to us may be stored on secure “Cloud” based storages systems provided by reputable organisations including Google, Microsoft and Box and also on the U3A Beacon database. This data includes your name, address, telephone number and email address. No financial details such as account numbers are stored. The transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically and transmission of such data is therefore entirely at your own risk.
Disclosing Your Information
We may disclose your personal information to any member of LEYLAND U3A. Please advise the Membership Secretary if you do not wish your details to be disclosed. We will not disclose your details to organisations outside the U3A.
Leyland U3A reserve the right to carry out photography and/or video recording at their events for publicity purposes and to reproduce images and recordings on our website.
Data Protection Act 1998
LEYLAND U3A is not registered under The Data Protection Act 1998. It is a not-for-profit organisation using data processing only for the purposes of establishing and maintaining membership records, and for administering activities for individuals who are either members of LEYLAND U3A or have regular contact with LEYLAND U3A.
